Law forces Cotta out at France
May 29, 2002 - The Hollywood Reporter
PARIS — Michele Cotta, general director of television channel France 2, will leave after June 15 because of a quirky French law specifying that public television executives cannot work in the sector beyond age 65. The odds-on favorite to replace Cotta is Christopher Baldelli, France 2’s deputy general manager. Cotta has held the position since June 1999. As deputy general manager at France 2, Baldelli has been responsible for the finance, human resources, legal and technology divisions.
